Red Salud / Clínica Bicentenario Red Salud CChC began implementing ERAS® in bariatric surgery last year and is now expanding the program to cardiac surgery.
The cardiac ERAS® implementation started last month and is expected to involve structured process improvements over a period of approximately one year. The goal is to increase compliance with the ERAS® guidelines and thereby improve patient outcomes.
The team is being trained by the official ERAS® Trainers from the ERAS® Center of Excellence Médica Uruguaya (Uruguay): Dr. Marcelo Viola Malet, Dr. Gonzalo Solla, and Dr. Leticia Turconi.
This expansion is carried out in partnership with Medtronic Chile, with Encare supporting the team throughout the implementation using the ERAS® Interactive Audit System (EIAS).
