Automatic data transfer is designed so that your hospital remains firmly in control of what data is sent to EIAS and when. Clinicians decide which data points and which patients are in scope — those are clinical decisions, based on how data is captured and what is meaningful for the ERAS® programme. Your IT team then implements the technical tools that extract the agreed data and transfer it to EIAS on the schedule you’ve chosen. Nothing leaves your environment unless your hospital sends it.
Transfers use proven, widely adopted security standards — SFTP with SSH key authentication — so data moves between your hospital and EIAS through a channel that your IT and security teams already know and trust. Each hospital has an isolated, dedicated endpoint.
All data is handled in line with applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA. Encare’s HIPAA compliance has been independently validated by an external third party. Access to imported data is limited to licensed hospital staff and Encare support personnel, and no directly identifying patient information — name, personal number, address, or contact details — is imported into EIAS.
