Gleneagles Hospital Johor Becomes First in Malaysia to Achieve ERAS® Qualification in Knee Arthroplasty

Gleneagles Hospital Johor has achieved ERAS® Qualification in Knee Arthroplasty, becoming the first hospital in Malaysia to reach this milestone.

This achievement marks an important step in the adoption of structured, evidence-based perioperative care in the region and signals the continued expansion of ERAS® across Malaysia.

The implementation was led by Dr. Shahridan Fathil (ERAS® Lead & Advisor) and Staff Nurse Ernizah Hamzah (ERAS® Coordinator), with strategic leadership perspectives from Dr. Kamal Amzan, CEO of IHH Healthcare Malaysia. The team was supervised and coached by the ERAS® Center of Excellence team from Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore, led by Dr. Kwang Yeong How and Dr. Vera Lim Qinyl.
