The ERAS® Team at Kantonspital Baden, Switzerland, led by Dr. Andrea Kopp Lugli, Dr. Regula Brodbeck, and Dr. Alex Ochsner, together with ERAS® Nurses Julia Mussmann and Salome Mallien and their multidisciplinary team, has achieved the ERAS® Qualification for implementing the colorectal ERAS® protocol on May 5th 2026.
The team in Baden has started the stepwise implementation of three ERAS® protocols in August 2024. While their initial focus has been on the structured and comprehensive implementation of ERAS® for colorectal patients, they have simultaneously begun implementing the ERAS® protocols for bariatric and pancreatic surgery. The team will continue this work as part of their efforts to achieve future ERAS® qualification in these specialties.
The full implementation was supported by Prof. Dr. Steffen Seyfried and his team from the ERAS® Center of Excellence at Universitetsklinikum Mannheim in Germany.
